Tuesday September 24th the so waited Queens Public Library/ Hunters Point Library located in Long Island City waterfront finally opened. It was a mother and teacher’s dream and she fought hard to have the space for a library for our kids. Unfortunately Fausta passed the way before the construction officially started about 8 years ago.

The monument how they call is a unique design that seen from Manhattan can be seen a unique, beautiful building light up next to the trade mark of LIC the Pepsi Sign.

The Library almost felt through due the approval for the space, and was delay due funds. It took about 8 years to be complete. This is the first most expensive library build in NYC. It was invested about $40 million dollars. The library already secured about $1 million in funds.

It was so worth to wait and well invested. The space is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view of Manhattan. It will offer story time for our toddlers, classes for teens and adults. Now besides the landmark Pepsi Cola sign to visit in L.I.C, the library will sure be a tourist must go visit.
